Mount Titlis is an easy day trip from Lucerne if you are staying there. Want to take the train? You can travel from Lucerne to Engelberg on the "Zentralbahn" train. The station is walkable to the base of the mountain in Engelberg, and there is also a free shuttle to the Titlis Valley Station if you'd prefer not to walk.
